GJ1214b was discovered in 2009 by the ground-based MEarth Project.
Described as a “super-Earth,” it is about 2.7 times Earth’s diameter and weighs almost 7 times as much …Further measurements and estimates led scientists to conclude that the planet has much more water than Earth and much less rock.
That, together with high temperatures and pressure, likely produce some highly exotic results, including “hot ice,” scientists say.
In the distant future, can see someone selling this venue as a health cure … hot springs, sauna, etc etc

On twitter….and, one more murder. Maybe, it is time to turn a blind eye all reasons and throw the book at those who murder..
I had first read about Hasan Elahi in Amitava Kumar’s book Evidence of Suspicion

The concept of someone logging every single action and movement as a counter to the all pervasive security mechanism seems excessive.
But, given the kind of all pervasive paronia that has hit the world, especially the west, in the post 9/11 era, this can be seen as the most non violent form of protest. You want to know what I do, here take every little boring detail of it
Since the winter of 2002, Hasan Elahi has documented every urinal he’s used. He’s photographed every plate of noodles he’s eaten. His every movement, in fact, has been tracked through a GPS device in his cell phone and posted online. This is not blog-fuelled solipsism, nor a symptom of obsessive-compulsive disorder. His careful documentation of the mundane details of his life is all part of an ongoing art project called “Tracking Transience: The Orwell Project,” which Elahi developed when he discovered that after 9/11 the FBI had taken a keen interest in his life.
